More fun than the debate

Newsflash---Libertarian and Green Party presidential candidates arrested as they try to enter presidential debate. I'm all for a viable 3rd or 4th national political party, and I saw these guys on PBS earlier tonight, and enjoyed listening to them blab about our screwing two-party system. I like 'em both, though I think that Cobb (the Green) wouldn't get my vote running against Satan....well, maybe, but I'd have to think about it. The article was taken from Badnarik's website (he's the Libertarian), so, in the interest of equal time, here's Cobb's site. Good luck, gentlemen.

X-prize....YAY!

Burt and the boys won the Ansari X-prize. I watched the flight live, and it was my most exciting "happy" TV moment since.....well, ever I guess.

Interview with "an ex-Trotsky-ite"

I found this interview on Mike's Blog, and it made for very interesting reading. The interviewer is a self-proclaimed left-winger, and he's interviewing an old friend/idol, who he says has regretfully made peace with the Bush administration, largely due to the rise of "Islamic fascism". Here's my favorite quote from the guy:

He explains that he believes the moment the left's bankruptcy became clear was on 9/11. "The United States was attacked by theocratic fascists who represents all the most reactionary elements on earth. They stand for liquidating everything the left has fought for: women's rights, democracy? And how did much of the left respond? By affecting a kind of neutrality between America and the theocratic fascists."

It's an interesting read.

The Race

Here's the most recent presidential poll and projection by Gallup. Hmmmm.
